As a dad and
father of three lovely children I understand the importance of keeping our
earth clean for future generations. I
have not always been an eco-friendly dad but I did start about two years
ago.
It all began
when my youngest daughter was born. My
wife and I were discussing the advantages and disadvantages of cloth diapering
and decided cloth diapering was for us.
The biggest advantage of cloth diapering to us was the number of
disposable diapers that we would be able to keep out of landfills. I am not sure how many diapers children go
thru before they are potty trained but any reduction is a great thing. Cloth diapering lead me to start looking at
how my family and I could make a difference and be more eco-friendly and earth
conscience.
In the last two
years we have become very big advocates of recycling glass, cans, paper and
cardboard. We also like to pick our own
fruits and vegetables from local farms in our area to keep pollution from
products being shipped across the country down to a minimum. All of the light bulbs in my house are energy
efficient and when we are not in a room it is a must for all light to be turned
off in order to conserve energy. These
are just small things that I do in order to try to make a difference.
I think sometimes
people take earth for granted but it is everyone’s job to do their part to keep
it clean and beautiful for future generations.

PB and Smelly's Dad, great job. It is a wonderful lesson to teach your babies now.

If every family did just that much, think of how far we could be in the fight to green up! Good job - good example for your kids!

I remember using cloth diapers when my babies were born. That was before disposables got to be all the rage. And my DH always changed diapers. Kudos to involved dads.
